My wife's computer was having performance issues. I ran an Avast boot time scan and it came up with three infections. It deleted two of them but it could not delete the third in hiberfil.sys. The avast program would not update. Something was blocking it. Your help is much appreciated. Thanks.

Oct 18, 2018  Hey everyone, I recently opened an.xls (Excel) file from an Upwork job opening and received an email from them that they believed my computer was infected by a virus as a result. I have downloaded and run Avast - done a full system scan. Avast found 1 infection in my trash but can't delete it for some reason.
