Open a browser and go to www.malwarebytes.org > At the top of that page, go to products > Free Antimalwarebytes Download the Free version > Install and open the program, press start trial, and pick full scan > Once it's finished, click ok > Click show results Check all the boxes shown > Press the remove selected button to remove any infections. Click the Avast Menu bar and select Open Avast; Click Avast, Preferences, and then the lock icon to change your Avast settings; Go to Shields, Mail Shield and click Advanced; Click the General tab and uncheck Enable IPv6; Sending and receiving emails work on most systems. (Failed to send the command.) As of last night i get the following message on my MAC when trying to start scan -Unable to start scan! Malwarebytes for mac. It appears that other MAC users are getting the same issue over the last two days.

It appears that other MAC users are getting the same issue over the last two days.
I assume the problem is at your end. can you advise how this is rectified.
I use the Free AVG products and installed them on the MAC when this was new last year so AVG is not a recent addition. I ran a scan perfectly OK last night, and I am now unable to repeat this and keeping getting the error message.

Avast Cannot Scan Some Files
(Avast)We regret for the inconvenience caused. The update containing fix was already released however additional steps has to be done to make it work.
Please disable the Realtime Protection and then run the update. Once update is completed you can enable Realtime Protection again and check whether it resolves the issue.
