That's not how it should be. Windows Defender should be off. Should i pay for avast on my mac.

I suggest to uninstall Avast with the help of their specific removal tool (https://www.avast.com/uninstall-utility), then reboot.

And then re-install your Avast (make sure though beforehand that it's the latest Windows 10 compatible version) and reboot again.

Now Windows Defender should be disabled.
